How To Manually Add Videos Using RealVMS

Manually adding videos to your website or blog using RealVMS is as simple as typing in a search term and clicking a button. To begin login to your Wordpress admin panel and click the “Add Videos” link.

Once your at this screen you’ll see a simple to follow form, simply type in a search term select a category to search under, and choose how you would like these results to be ordered by. Once you’ve done that simply click the “Search Videos” button.

In a few seconds you should see a table of images with 2 buttons under each image, if there are lots of results you will also notice a next button below the initial results which will simply show the next page of results, then when you are on page two you should notice a previous button and when clicked you will be presented with the previous page of results.

The first of the two buttons under each image is the one you will click if you would like to add that video to your website, but don’t worry clicking on the button will not automatically add the video to your website, instead when you click on the button you will be presented with the default Wordpress post editor.

Once you reach the Wordpress post editor you should notice that the title has already been filled out with the title of the video, the description will be populated with the embed code needed to display the video on your website or blog and the Tags section of the editor may or may not become pre-populated with tags that were provided for this particular Youtube video.

At this point in time you can change the title to anything you want, add a more detailed description, remove any unwanted tags or add some additional tags for this video and you can do it all before you actually make the post.

If you scroll down to the bottom of the Wordpress post editor you’ll also notice an additional box with a title of “RealVMS” settings.

The first option in this box gives you the option to include any comments along side this post, simply enter in the lowest number of comments you would like to add in the first box and then enter in the maximum number of comments to add in the second box.

There is also a check box option called “Remove Swear Words From The Comments?” and if you check that box the RealVMS plugin will strip any swear words from the comments before adding them to your website or blog.

The last two options enable you to automatically add this post to your Del.icio.us and/or Faves.com bookmarking accounts, if you’ve already filled out your username and password combination for these websites in the “Social Bookmarks” section of RealVMS then these options will be two simple check boxes, however if you have not yet added your user information under the “Social Bookmarks” section then you will see a couple input fields which ask you for your information.

Adding comments and automatically adding your post to the social bookmarking services are completely optional and if you do not want to add comments and you do not want to add this post to the social bookmarking services then simply leave these fields empty.

Then once your ready to add your post to your website or blog simply click the “Publish” button as you normally would when creating a post using Wordpress.
